KiXoo^TM: Up to 64 breeder hens per 10 ft. (3 m) feeder length.

ROXELL of Agile Mfg. launches a totally new breeder feeder pan, the result of a long intensive study and research in co-operation with breeder specialists, universities and breeder farmers throughout the world.

Breeder farmers require more feeding space for their birds.

KiXoo^TM was designed especially to answer the increasing need of breeder farmers to have adequate eating space for their birds. All birds need to eat at the same time but while the size of the breeders continuously increases, the available feeding space gets smaller and smaller. Also breeder companies have reinforced their wishes for more space as this positively influences the performance of the birds.

The most eye-catching feature of the pan is its oval shape. Thorough research and testing at ROXELL has shown that the oval shape maximized the number of birds that could eat simultaneously from a pan. The result is that each pan offers 2 extra feeding places, 16 in total, in comparison with round breeder pans. Practically speaking, this means that breeder farmers get more feeding space than ever before, for the same investment in equipment.

Compared to chain feeders, KiXoo^TM supplies up to 38 percent more eating space, and of course, a significant number of advantages typical of pan feeders. These advantages had been already optimized previously by ROXELL in their FIMAVIT-breeder feeder.

The procedure for a worldwide patent on the pan shape is in process. The patent will apply for any shape of pan except circular.

Uniform feed distribution.

ROXELL maintained the unique concept for the combination of two separate feed collectors: the inner and the outer pan. The feed capacity of the inner pan is reduced to only approximately 10.6 ounces (or 300 grams) to guarantee that inner pans are kept full during the feeding cycle. All pans on the circuit fill up simultaneously with equal small portions of feed. Moreover, as any feed dropped from the inner pan is collected in the outer pan the risk of waste is practically non-existent. Integrated anti-swing clamps on the tubes prevent the pans from swinging thus keeping the feed in the center of the pan.

Separate sex feeding.

KiXoo^TM also has a refined inner grill to apply easy and efficient separate sex feeding. The grill adjustment is quick and simple by turning a handy adjuster knob on top of the pan lid. The grill width adjusts to anywhere between 40 and 50 mm in mm increments. The grill adapts in height simply by clicking the inner grill in a 90, 80 or 70 mm position. Both elements prevent male breeders having access to the hens’ feed, no matter the age or breed. As in the case of the pan shape, a worldwide patent also protects the adjustable separation grill.

Easy management.

Although KiXoo^TM is today’s most complete breeder pan on the market, a lot of attention was paid to the easy management of the system.
All included features require only simple operations to save labor costs.

ROXELL refined the feed adjuster ring for easier and more precise adjustment of the feed level in the inner pan. The level can now be set per 1 mm. This offers new possibilities to breeder farm managers.

The control-unit has been equipped with a reliable sensor to regulate the automatic refilling until the daily feed portion is completely distributed.

The standard control panel is made simple to provide an easy operation.
Breeder farmers however can optimize their feeding management by choosing a control panel with a built-in feed computer.

KiXoo^TM is winchable, either manually or automatically. This allows raising the lines easily according to the growth of the birds, or to automatically close the feed windows after the starting period during rearing, or to clean the system and the house after removal of the flock.

All pan parts were developed to comply with animal welfare and are made of durable UV-stabilized plastic, which resists all commonly used cleansing agents and detergents.
